Stock vs. Custom Wreslting Singlet - Part I

Recently I have talked about a number of United States Wrestling singlet designs, and before that it was International Wrestling Singlets, but both of these have something in common, they are stock wrestling singlet options. So of course a lot of people ask what is the difference between stock wrestling singlets and a custom wrestling singlet? Let's see if I can explain...

A stock singlet, like the State Wrestling Singlet designs from previous posts, are mass produced with the design completed. It is like buying a shirt at the store, you get what you see. So for example, the Brute Pennsylvania State Wrestling Singlet design has not been custom made for a specific school and is available for anyone to order.

In contrast, a custom wrestling singlet is one where the design can be altered allowing you to customize your own wrestling singlet look. You can often provide your own artwork or have it designed to your specifications. Where as, if you wish, you can buy just one stock wrestling singlet, custom wrestling singlets often require a minimum order of multiple pieces since the art is specific to the customer.

But here is where people get confused. SOME stock singlets can also be personalized. You can buy some wrestling singlets from Adidas, ASICS or Brute that are blank and perfect for screen printing. The design of the singlet itself can't be altered, but custom printing can be placed into certain open areas.

It can get even more confusing since there is a difference between a sublimated wrestling singlet versus a screen printed one, but I'll save that for my next post.

If you are in the market for a lycra wrestling singlet or any other wrestling gear, click over to Worldwide Sport Supply and their online catalog, the Big Book of wrestling. Their site is divided up into wrestling singlet categories to help make the processes a lot easier.
